Waterworks Recording West is owned and operated by Jim Waters. Located in Tucson, AZ., the studio attracts clients from around the world due to the magical desert scenery and Jim's "sunny" disposition. Another attraction is Jim's way cool "Street Credibility"...he's got lot's of that...possibly too much...plus he's got technical know-how, and a can-do attitude to boot. Oh yeah... that's another one of Jim's attributes.

Jim has over 100 years of combined experience. He is a seasoned veteran who has produced and engineered some of the top acts in music today.

Prior to moving to Tucson, Waters operated Waterworks Recording Studio which was located in the heart of the fashionable "Meat District" in the Big Apple. When he relocated to Tucson in 1993, many people assumed that had "taken a powder" or perhaps he just up and moved to New Jack City, but the god's honest truth is that he's gone on to produce and record many talented and deservedly famous Rock Star music personality types, including more of the top acts in music today.

Waters moved to Tucson because of the climate and it's size. Not too big, yet not too small. After living in New York City for so many years he wanted a different pace, but mainly he wanted "to live in a city that doesn't smell like urine". Tucson rarely smells like urine! New York frequently does! Hence, a preference for "The Old Pueblo"! He also has a preference for "Old Pablo" an old indian dude who sleeps by the railroad tracks and sometimes sweeps the studio. He DOES however smell like urine on occasion but that's another story...
